Mr. Grigoris Georgiou, PhD Candidate at our partner CING presented his latest research at the 45th Scientific Conference, held in Larissa, Greece, from 21 to 23 May 2026.

His work, carried out in the framework of the ELMUMY project, focuses on an integrative cross-omics analysis combining transcriptomic and proteomic data from the same patient cohort. The aim of the study is to uncover the biological processes driving disease progression from precursor stages to active Multiple Myeloma.

Through differential expression, enrichment, and network-based analyses, the study revealed a progressive functional reprogramming across disease stages. In particular, the findings highlight a transition from immune and inflammatory responses towards mechanisms associated with proliferation and cell regulation.

These results contribute to a deeper understanding of Multiple Myeloma biology and underline the value of multi-omics approaches in deciphering complex disease mechanisms.

Congratulations to Mr. Georgiou and the CING team for their contribution to advancing Multiple Myeloma research through the ELMUMY project.
