ELMUMY Research Presented at the 50th FEBS Congress

Despoina Gianniou from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), represented the ELMUMY project at the 50th FEBS Congress, which took place 4-8 July 2026 in Maastricht, the Netherlands.


Despoina's presentation, titled "Progressive Dysregulation of the Proteostasis Network in Multiple Myeloma," focused on the progressive disruption of the proteostasis network during Multiple Myeloma development and highlighted research carried out within the ELMUMY project. Despoina was also awarded a FEBS Travel Bursary, supporting her participation in one of Europe's leading congresses in molecular life sciences.


Congratulations to Despoina on this well-deserved recognition and for successfully representing NKUA and the ELMUMY consortium at this prestigious scientific event.
